History of the world part i part 1

History of the world part i part 1

The picture playing a blue ray disc is beautiful. The online streaming is great. Primarily using Netflix at the moment. It has been a godsend with children s programming. HDMI control of my Sony TV is also nice. OK, I did my homework over a 2 month period. I REALLY wanted to buy a Samsung Blu Ray to work with my Netflix download because I have a Samsung 52 HDTV. But SO MANY people said that the Samsung Blu-Ray s just didn t work. Same was said for the LG too. They ALL can t be wrong, huh? So I read many, many reviews, looked at comparable product specifications, and even downloaded several Owner s Manuals to see what each was about. I narrowed it down and really focused in on the Sony. Why? Because it seemingly required a Bridge, whatever that was. I continued to investigate. As a result, I realized that this unit is not Internet Ready out of the box. At first I wondered WHY the Samsung and others didn t work as advertised. After I looked history of the world part i part 1 this Bridge device, I quickly realized that this unit MUST be designed for high-capacity bandwidth because that s what the Bridge provides! My ephiphony moment has arrived! To stream video IS a high bandwidth endeavor, and the Sony delivers I figured out that you had to register online with both Netflix AND Sony first. But after that, it all worked like a charm, as designed. But, as stated above, you do have to buy the Linksys Bridge AND a Gigabyte N-Router IF you don t already have one. By the way, I bought a Belkin N Gigabyte Router to provide high-capacity bandwith to go along with my Bridge. Oh, and one other little thing. You ll need to get at least an 8 GB Flash Drive cheap these day to provide external memory to your Sony. Don t worry, it only cost me about 25 and works well. So for around 4 00 depending on the deals you get this was my cost, I got it all and it REALLY, REALLY works. The people here who say it does NOT work with Netflix simply haven t figured this all out yet, didn t buy the right equipment, didn t set it up properly, or a combination thereof. Trust me, it DOES work!!! Bottom line: This is the ONLY real Blu-Ray player designed to work with the bandwidth you ll need to seamlessly download those Netflix videos, and more. You just need to get a couple other things, but that is what you ll need to make it all work. And work it does! And as an added bonus, you ll get access to Sony s Bravia Network with all kinds of neat streaming goodies, like an Internet Radio station, many blog-type video feeds, an service, and of course, BD-Live which really is cool for all those extras. This unit does everything you would expect of a DVD/BD player and The Netflix integration is good. I even enjoy the additional Internet content at this time Sony is streaming a history of the world part i part 1 of Michael Jackson music videos, which my daughter enjoys. My only complaint is that the unit does not support BD-Live out of the box.
